Earlier this week, there was a story floating around the internet about how a mother, Rachel Giordano, was scolded in Texas by a store clerk from Martha’s Minatures for supporting her daughter in wanting to try on a boy’s suit. Both Martha’s Minatures website and Facebook page has been taken down since the incident.  Apparently, the store clerk suggested the mother was a child abuser for allowing her child cross-dress. The BIG QUEER NEWS occurred Wednesday, when President Obama called an end to conversion therapy for gay and transgender youth! If you don’t know what conversion therapy is –  it’s a range of treatments that aim to change sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual. Such treatments have been criticized as a form of pseudoscience. Fact is, you can’t change anyone’s sexual orientation. These “conversion therapies” can be harmful and traumatic to youth. In Toronto, a police officer shades his hair PINK in order to raise awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny and all forms of bullying. #dayofpink is trending yet quickly fading due to the fact Lauren Harper was chosen to be spokes woman for the campaign. Some LGBT Activists feel that since Lauren Harper is neither L or G or B or T that the #dayofpink really missed its mark on the spokesperson.





The Netflix popular series Orange Is The New Black has released their trailer for the anticipated season 3 and it is VERY EXCITING. I suggest you stop everything and watch it now. I’ll wait.
